Cartoon Network Racing is a racing video game made by Cartoon Network Interactive, Eutechnyx, Firebrand Games (Nintendo DS version) and The Game Factory released on November 28, 2006.

Overview[]

There are 2 characters the player must choose: a driver, who drives their own custom kart, and a co-driver, who sits in the back of the vehicle, using all weapons and having 2 Toon Powers.

Players must race a series of tournament races and win with the most points. Battle modes in arenas let two teams battle in different modes and Cartoon Eliminators are endurance races where the last kart in each lap is eliminated per round.

The carts have three statistics: acceleration, speed and handling if chosen as driver. If co-driver, they have two Toon Powers that fall into four categories: Shield, Attack, Boost and Flight.

Relation to Courage[]

Three characters from the show (Courage, Muriel and Eustace) are playable in this game. In the PS2 version, Marty Grabstein, Thea White and Arthur Anderson respectively reprise their roles, saying game-exclusive dialogue when the player is selecting drivers/co-drivers, as well as before, during and after races. Occasionally, nods from the show are referenced by the three in the game.

Courage drives a pumpkin cart, Muriel her chair and Eustace the truck he owns within the series. The Bagge Farmhouse is also included as a track in the game. The episodes "Robot Randy" and "The Magic Tree of Nowhere" can be unlocked in the game, free to view in their entirety in the game's "gallery."
