There it is.... the final Ariane 4 launch. This one is similar to my older "Remembrance of Courage Past"-Ariane 4 videos, only this time there'll be no new launches from this point forward after the Ariane 5 replaces this old rocket. Why? Because of its limited payload capacity, and Ariane 4 cannot perform double launches with the increasing heavy telecom satellites. The more powerful Ariane 5 can and will still lift the increasing heavy telecom satellites to this day. In this final launch, the rocket is carrying Intelsat 907 for its longtime customer, Intelsat, in this video.
