The Lion Statues are two sculptures of large lions that are shown in "Wrath of the Librarian". The Statues guard the Librarian's Bookmobile shop. They work, and quite frankly, "talk" on behalf of the Librarian and they both speak in unison.

After Courage fails to pay his 2 year overdue book, the Lion Statues begin to move and speak. They warn Courage that if he is unable to pay for his book, there will be a curse. Courage is terrified by this and he races off in terror. Later in the episode, Muriel and Eustace become cursed, as they are turned into the characters from Courage book "The Pixie and the Prickle Pirate." Once the fee is finally paid, the lion statue express graduate to Courage for finally paying the fee and the curse is broken.
