Watch The Birdies is an episode from Season 3 that originally aired on July 12th, 2002 aside Mondo Magic.

Plot

Muriel and Courage are feeding birds outside. Suddenly, Muriel is taken away by a gigantic vulture! The vulture makes Muriel watch her baby birds (while she goes to look for a new husband), and if the birds feathers are harmed in any way, she will eat Muriel with a cereal spoon! Courage has to feed the birds by chewing worms. Courage also has to protect them from bees when they play with a bee hive. When Courage leaves the nest to find more worms, he angers Eustace, who chases after him. Courage drops the worms and tries to grab them. He grabs a rattlesnake by the tail and puts him in the pail under the worms. Courage climbs up the tree and continues feeding the baby birds. When he grabs the snake, he spits worms at him. The snake sees the babies and starts tempting them to come closer to him. Eustace is climbing the tree. Courage throws the beehive at the snake and misses, but it hits Eustace, covering him in honey. The snake opens his mouth and growls, but Courage jumps into his mouth and interferes. Bees sting Eustace who is covered in feathers, making him run around and act like a bird. The snake sees Eustace and thinks he is the babies' mother. He wraps his tail around Courage, throws him away and then goes after Eustace instead. Eustace continues running away with the snake chasing him. The mother vulture returns and reveals that she found a new husband, too. A feathered Eustace!

Trivia

When Courage wants to feed the birds escargot, Muriel tells him that baby birds eat worms. This is really ironic, because baby birds eat snails, worms and bugs.
